Technology Consultant

As part of datango's continued growth strategy, datango is seeking an accomplished technical pre-sales and/or post-sales consultant who will work with prospective and existing partners in order to ensure that the datango solution represents a viable product as a technology backbone for their end user adoption solution.

The Role

The Technology Consultant contributes to the success of the sales team through a combination of prospect, end-user and partner technical education, coaching and support as well as implementation assistance when required. The consultant assists by removing any technical barriers to the successful sale and implementation across the region and supports the account managers in establishing the technical strategy for prospects, key accounts, partners and the installed base.
Please note that travel (up to 75%) is required in this role, potentially extensively throughout the UK with overnight stays and less frequently in the European region - occasionally at short notice.

Qualifications:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a software pre-sales, post-sales or related role.
  • Keen desire and enthusiasm to assist prospects in understanding the value proposition of the technology and helping partners understand how datango software supports their application users.
  • Ability to take ownership of issues and get them resolved above and beyond the client’s expectations.
  • Understanding of sales process and methodology
  • Experience with large enterprise software such as ERP/CRM system implementations is advantageous.
  • Programming and SQL Database knowledge is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with e-learning marketplace a distinct advantage and in particular experience with Oracle UPK, SAP ProductivityPak, OnDemand Personal Navigator, Assima ATS, Kaplan STT, RWD UPerform, Business Objects Knowledge Accelerator, Adobe Captivate etc.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver software demonstrations, presentations and product briefings.
  • Assist potential customers with software evaluations and proof of concepts.
  • Serve as liaison between the direct sales, technical and support teams.
  • Provide product training to new customers.
  • Own the technical relationship with customers and be an expert in the use, deployment and management of datango software.
  • Offer front line support to customers as their key technical resource.
